Solutions to create green corners

Inspire is a great idea and vertical garden is a great solution to let nature into your home at a time that horizontal spaces are becoming smaller.
Herbs, fruit trees, flowering shrubs and ground covers combine in this construction, part of a garden designed by landscape designer Gilberto Elkins . The idea was to bring together species of various scents. "I also tried to create an interesting game with volumes. So I used two types of container: wooden boxes and ceramic pots, "he says. In high planter Cumaru, basil (1) thyme (2) and rosemary (3) were placed. The orange-pear (4) occupied the boxes supported on the floor. Caution: in flowerpots and vases, as there is little land, the moisture is more subject to changes in climate. Always observe if the soil is parched and increase the frequency and volume of irrigation when needed. Inside the boxes Cumaru, FLOWERPOTS zinc avoid water contact with the wood.
When designing this garden, the architect Laciana Taquary  sought to make a counterpoint to the architecture of the house, "very modern", in the opinion of the residents. "I bet on wooden furniture with an air of farm and FLOWERPOTS fiber and applied brick in the wall," he says. In lieu of flowers, she prioritized green species, which require less care, as the Areca palm cateca (1). "It seems the imperial palm, but not much grows: ten years from now, the foliage is still visible without having to lift the look," he explains. Of rapid growth, the vine Mucuna, Mucuna benettii or (2), provides a shady area. The sunbed eucalyptus reforestation is the Saccaro.
In the back of a townhouse, Helena Freitas Azevedo (11 2894-8678) organized the landscape area of 10 x 10 m around a granite table of 1.20 m in diameter, the Pagliotto (11 5041-5288). This mobile, as well as banks and teak chairs, stand the weather well. The only element that asks attentive maintenance are the escaevolas (Scaevola aemula, 1), which need to be watered twice a day. Moreover, simply remove the dried leaves of the species. Before, the yard had a severely damaged flooring and a covered piece of land. "Although covering the floor with drainage blanket and over, spreading gravel was rapid and without riot way to unify the environment," says landscaper. To complete, she designed a way Miracema stone.
No stunning and the engine air-conditioner view this corner of the porch was rescued by interior designer Juliana Hamacek (11 8181-5423). She created a cabinet with the same Cumaru the deck to hide the equipment. The Masquerade (made by Multiformas, 11 3819-2597) offers access doors and ventilation openings and serves as support for herbs, planted in pots of Vietnamese ceramics . How windy there, picked up heavy containers, which were fixed in wood with double sided tape. Selected to be a decoy for the birds, the jabuticabeira (1) was purchased as an adult. For smaller vessels, gave preference to herbs, simpler than the maintenance of ornamental plants. Rosemary (2) salsa (3), basil green (4) oregano (5) purple basil (6) come from Anni Verdi .
Além do jasmim, a azaleia-japonesa (Rhododendron x simsii, 3) garante flores no espaço. Móveis, vasos e plantas da Anni Verdi .
Facing the back of the house, the view in this window was not the most beautiful. Therefore, the interior designer Maria do Carmo Ferreira (11 3815-4311) devised an attractive: "I took that in place the floor is raised to mount a small garden buchinhos". The ceramic pots - have bought with plants in Ceagesp (SP) - have different heights, giving the impression of a miniature forest. To give a good finish, the floor is covered with white pebbles number 3 and a bamboo mat was fixed on the grid at the bottom, which increases the sense of privacy without blocking the ventilation. Care of the species are simple: water frequently, keeping the soil moist, trim to save the format of the ball and leave in full sun.
